The Lebanese-Swiss Association expresses deep concern over the escalating violence affecting Lebanon and the Middle East.

The Lebanese people have suffered enough from wars, destruction, and instability. Lebanon must not be dragged into another devastating conflict.

The people of Lebanon deserve to live in peace, dignity, and security. The same right to peace belongs to the Israeli people. The future of our region must be built on stability, dialogue, and coexistence.

We therefore call for a real and lasting peace in the Middle East, including peace between Lebanon and Israel.

We also call for the full implementation of all United Nations resolutions concerning Lebanon. The sovereignty of the Lebanese state must be respected, and all weapons must be exclusively under the authority of the Lebanese Armed Forces. Armed groups operating outside the authority of the state must no longer determine the fate of Lebanon.

A strong and sovereign Lebanon — free from militias and internal armed conflicts — is the only path toward stability and lasting peace.
